Why are you running a website?

I wanted to see if I could and I was feed up with all the sites I found on the internet that had second rate pictures, and tiny thumbnails.   I was tired of all the sites that had lots of tricks — confusing links, pop-ups, and redirections to places and things I did not want to see or be sent.   Lastly I felt I could do a better job.

Why IcyHotHunks for a name?

Back when I used AOL in the mid 1990′s (and was single) I discovered the wonderful world of chat rooms, and with that I soon found the M4M room of my city.   Well, I needed a handle, something with spice and sophistication.  Regrettably, most of the good ones were taken.   So, I started trying combinations using the word HOT and I soon landed on the combination “HOTICE” and bingo, a name was born without numbers.  Soon thereafter a domain name was born.

Tell us about the webmaster

I am 48 years old. I enjoy music, animation, SCI-Fiction, the outdoors (with my dogs, a silly Alaskan Malamute and an adorable Vizsla), and web design.  My partner and I have been together for 15 years now and I am not available.  I live in the Pacific Northwest and think MEN are HOT.

Who are my favorite porn Stars and Models?

That is pretty easy.  Derek Cameron, Chris Champion, Benjamin Godfre, Evan Wadle, and Kurt Marshall to name just a few.   Umm I also love the appearance of any hot guy wearing jeans and an open shirt.

Why do I need to register for the Gallery?

Couple of reasons — this grants you access to a number of features that the image galleries offer.  Things like Postcards,  “Light boxes,” personal galleries, access to ALL the Images, and the ability to download images.   By registering you are CLEARLY indicating your desire to view adult images.   This offers some protection for children and helps me comply with Federal and State Laws.

Why do I have to register for the Blog?

The Blog and Gallery are separate pieces of software.  You don’t actually have to register to read, or even leave comments on the Blog, but it does make things simpler if you decide to become an active member in the IcyHot community and do a lot of posting.

Can I use a Globally Recognized Avatar (GRAvatar) on the Blog?

Yes you can.  The Blog recognizes the most common ones out there.   Check out  http://www.gravatar.com.

How do I add an Avatar to my comments?

You’ll need to sign up at http://www.gravatar.com with the email address that you’ve associated with  your posting, and upload you image to gravatar.com. After you’ve done that your gravatar.com image will appear whenever you post here or on other gravatar enabled blogs (if you put that email address into the mail field of the comment form).   Signing up for a gravatar.com account is FREE, and all that’s required is your email address.

Are comments Moderated?

Yes, Comments are moderated on the Blog for basically one reason, to avoid spam.  You would be surprised by the amount of comment spam I get each and every day that needs to be filtered.  I have only moderated comments twice by a user in the blog’s history, when they basically asked “to be fucked” by the model.   Let’s be clear here, I love comments they are the feedback (positive and negative) that lets me know what you guys think or feel about what I do here.

How do I download Images in the Galleries?

First off you have to register.  This process takes about 2 minutes and requires that you have a valid email address.  We value your privacy and your email address will not given to anyone.  We hate SPAM as much as you do.  After registering you will be granted full access to all the  galleries (currently 7000+ photos).   Just select a gallery from the main page and thumbnail listing will appear.  Click on the thumbnail that interests you and the full size image should appear.  To download just press the download button under the image.

Why can’t I use “right-click” for navigation and downloading?

Unfortunately this is a “feature” of the 4Images gallery software I am running and I am unable to disable it.   Simply put the software tracks “downloads” and not just “hits” on each image.   The only way to tell if a user downloads the image is to make them use the download button.  The software cannot recognize when you use a “right-click” and then save the image to your local hard disk.

How do I hide my email address in the Galleries?

Select the “Control Panel” option on the Gallery home page and select “No” for the option to show your email address.  It may take up to 5 minutes for the change to appear on the website as it uses a feature to cache page data and not dynamically update the pages each time they are requested from the database server.

How do I hide my online status in the Galleries?

Select the “Control Panel” option on the Gallery home page and select “Yes” for the option to show hide your online status.  It may take up to 5 minutes for the change to appear on the website as it uses a feature to cache page data and not dynamically update the pages each time they are requested from the database server.

How do I change my password in the Galleries?

Select the “Control Panel” option on the home page and enter your current password where requested followed by the new password you wish you use.  Confirm the new password then select the “change password” option.

Help! I forgot my Gallery user id or password

Unfortunately there is no automatic way to recover a user id or password you have forgotten in the Galleries.  Please contact me using the Option at Top of this page.
