Gay Star Trek Webisode Completed

It seems I am a little late in announcing but I wanted to pass on that Part 2 of Blood and Fire (Written & Directed by David Gerrold. Teleplay by Carlos Pedraza) from Star Trek: Phase II finally was released after a year long wait. (This version is still missing some finalized audio)  The series is nicely done and worth an hour of your time if you are a fan of Star Trek.  For those of you not aware this episode introduced Peter Kirk, the nephew of Captain Kirk, an openly gay character in a committed healthy relationship.

David Gerrold, famous for writing the “Trouble with Tribbles” Star Trek episode, also wrote an episode that included gay characters – but it was shot down by Paramount. Now you can watch it online.  (source)

According to a comment left by Carlos Pedraza on the original blog posting:

Thanks for the plug for Star Trek: Phase II. Just FYI, the script is *based* on David Gerrold’s original teleplay for The Next Generation. I re-wrote it for Phase II’s use as an Original Series episode. Peter Kirk was something I added to David’s original story concept.

Regards,
Carlos Pedraza, Writer-Producer
Star Trek: Phase II

You can see this and all the episodes at the Star Trek: Phase II website (recommended).  Don’t rely on the clips from YouTube for Part 2 but go download Part 2 from the Star Trek: Phase II website or its mirrors.
